This VR Research Application was developed as part of my master’s dissertation on human-centred design principles for metaverse applications. The video demonstrations show how the sample application, designed according to the guidelines presented in my master's dissertation, works in practice.
The application allows the user to perform research tasks in a virtual environment, using both 2D and 3D interfaces. The user can create, manipulate, and arrange 2D windows that display web pages, PDF files, or images. The user can also interact with a 3D volumetric interface that displays the structure and content of the research. The video demonstrates how the application leverages the spatial capabilities of HMDs to create a more immersive and productive work environment.
